Did you approach other spiritual leaders (outside your church) for help? sorry to hear that my brother. i know what that is like. we had the same problem and we had to leave our ministry of many years because "we didnt follow the rules" "we dont think like them" "how dare we question them". we are not there to serve leaders. but out Father in heaven. what we did was, we walked away. knowing God would use us somewhere else. people need to understand that they can just walk away. and i hope that you can as well my brother. ask God for guidance.

We should all remember Lord Acton's fzmous words, "Power tends to corrupt and sbsolute power corrupts absolutely".This so true that it should be in the bible. Governance in the locslchurch needs to be a loving and patient balance.between the Senior pastor, the board of elders and the congregation. Huge decisions like leaving the Vineyard association, buying a new building or installing a new.senior pastor need to be ratified by the congregation by a clear majority. In doing this, we will be making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. The whole body needs to move together not just a brother snd his hand picked board. If this had been done in AnHeim this whole mess would have been avoided.

These staff attutudes are so reminiscent of Bethel Redding where Bill Johnson was so obsessed with a culture of continuous revival that he didn't care that half of his congregation left. That was several hundred people. That's a huge church split. Johnson became a run away pastor who had a pipe line to God and didn't care about what a good percentage of his congregation thought. Years later we see what a crazy new age prophesy driven heresy hole the place became. These non denominational churches have totally immature church government ready made for abuse. Senior pastors aren't little Moses' or Elijah's. The congregation can hear from God too.

I don’t attend the Dwelling Place church. I came across them by Googling live Christian Worship. And here’s the thing, if Jeremy Riddle is responsible in anyway for the worship that comes from that place, he is doing a great job. The fruit from there worship is excellent fruit, I have yet to hear anything better. Not really taking sides in the politics of Dwelling Place Church, but simply commending there worship, and whoever is responsible for putting it together.

Man I hope you can get back to being the guy you used to be! I miss seeing your positive side! I hope you have some sunshine even on a cloudy day! :-)

Saying that this man's reputation made you feel belittled is a reflection on you, not on this man.. Regardless of what he did to offend you, you should have taken it up with him directly first. This video expose isn't the correct way to do it, and you know it by your own admission. Saying his influence over you was too strong is a bit of a cop out.. You should never put another person in that position. It's unfair to them, yourself, and God. What you're describing is nothing new, it's been going on since the beginning. Christians should have the spiritual discernment to never get involved with these types of people to begin with, but should also know when to run away when they have made a mistake. The Bible is rife with verses expounding on the ignorance of trusting in other men, rather than God. Get on your knees, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you get over it. Get back on the drums, and press on towards that high calling brother!

I just dont understand and cant imagine Jeremy in this role, he doesnt look like this, I follow his journey for years. And after all....maybe I do, some things and people he worked with are for me somehow different and I have problem with following them....who knows. But do you think he became somehow radical? You need to do what they require from you. If I take on a role in the church , like hospitality service , but I refuse to use the guides and criteria for that job , I don’t like welcoming everyone and I don’t want to shake hands. I don’t like a forced big smile. I’d rather do it my way. I have better ideas than you , the pastor , I think my way is better. When the pastor tells me that , I’m not a good match for the hospitality team , maybe later. For now you can be a member but not a hospitality leader. It makes sense. If you are a member of a church but you are not with them in their core values , then maybe you need to find a new church

So relate to what you said "in our process of leaving, we were thanking them for all of the stuff that they did to us" I remember calling my pastor the day after our meeting that literally turned my life upside down, and apologized. I APOLOGIZED and said sorry if he thought I was being disrespectful. This goes to show that before you escape, you are deeply rooted in systems of abuse and you don't even know if yet. It takes leaving fir you to realize just how twisted it is.

Noah, I'm so sorry that you know this pain. I just found your page by Internet scrolling but and am deeply saddened to hear of another victim of spiritual abuse. But, if you’re seeking him in “Church CULTure, (“cult” isn’t always negative), you are going to have leadership guiding things as the Spirit leads. Correctly or not, this is part of any organization. As “staff” you can be fired. I watched the UA-cam Video “Detailing the Abuse of…” It seemed to me everything Jeremy (and Alan) said is pretty close to “spot on” when a church is desiring a move of the Holy Spirit! The main point I saw, was Jeremy in Noah’s apartment sharing passionately about “revival,” it’s beautiful history, while Noah seemed bored, waiting to talk about his own drum instruction business, selling “contrived formulas” for “spontaneously” ushering in the Holy Ghost, thereby “profiting off the Gospel.” Simon the magician would be proud! Yes! It was a test! Jeremy wanted to see excitement, enthusiasm, passion for revival, and join in with THAT as a “main cause.” John (at 99 years old) said “test every spirit.” He didn’t say “letting each spirit know you are testing them ahead of time, so they will know what you want to hear back.” Noah, was about his own agenda and got “hurt ‘feelings'” when it didn’t line up with the passion and cause for “revival first and foremost” that burns in Jeremy. I’ve enjoyed the Holy Spirit under Jeremy’s leading worship 100+ times. His heart ablaze. Noah’s just tearing him down because his business didn’t fit into Jeremy’s draw, and his heart wasn’t right for Jeremy’s team. So “cancel culture” yeah. Repent Noah!

If you were spiritually abused, then go to the proper channels and follow the Bible’s instructions on how to handle these issues rather than advertising it on social media where hundreds of blood-sucking individuals are going to condemn falsely. You all are putting down the gospel of Christ and allowing sick individuals to attack other christians. What a joke! Typical American christians who feel entitled!
